Certified Pre-Owned Device 3 Month Limited Warranty
This Limited Warranty shall apply to refurbished phones (the “Product”) sold by PHONE GARAGE. PHONE GARAGE warrants that, at the time of its original purchase and for 90 days thereafter (“Warranty Period”), the Product shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the warranty terms as outlined below.
WARRANTY TERMS:
This Limited Warranty is given only to the original purchaser of the Product (“Customer”), and may not be sold-on, assigned, transferred or given to any subsequent purchaser or acquirer of the Product.
In the event of Product failure during the Warranty Period, the Customer may take the Product and original PROOF OF PURCHASE to any PHONE GARAGE location, or send it in through PHONEGARAGE.CO.UK for online purchases. PHONE GARAGE will repair or replace such defective Product, subject to the following conditions:
This Limited Warranty applies only to the hardware components of the Product as originally supplied and does not apply to any software or other equipment. This Limited Warranty does not cover physical damage to the surface of the Product including but not limited to cracks or scratches on the LCD screen or camera lens.
Repair or replacement may involve the use of functionally equivalent reconditioned unit. PHONE GARAGE will return the repaired Product or replaced with another functional equivalent Product to the Customer in good working condition. All replaced faulty parts or components will become the property of PHONE GARAGE .
If PHONE GARAGE repairs or replaces the Product, the repaired or replaced Product shall continue to be warranted for the remaining time of the original Warranty Period.
TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY IF:
The Product serial number, the accessory date code the IMEI number, water indicator or the warranty seal has been removed, erased, defaced, altered or is illegible;
The defect was caused by deterioration of the Product due to excessive wear and tear;
The defect was caused by rough handling, exposure to moisture, dampness or extreme thermal or environmental conditions or a rapid change in such conditions, corrosion, oxidation, unauthorized modifications or connections, unauthorized opening or repair, repair by use of unauthorized spare parts, accidents, forces of nature, or other actions beyond the reasonable control of PHONE GARAGE (including but not limited to deficiencies in consumable parts including but not limited to buttons) unless the defect was caused directly by defects in materials or workmanship;
The defect was caused by the fact that the battery has been short circuited or by the fact that the seals of the battery enclosure or the cells are broken or show evidence of tampering or by the fact that the battery has been used in equipment other than those for which it has been specified;
The defect was caused by a defective function of the cellular network or other system;
The Product software needs to be upgraded due to changes in cellular network parameters; or
The defect was caused by the fact that the Product was used with or connected to a faulty accessory not approved or provided by PHONE GARAGE or used in other than its intended use and where it can be shown by PHONE GARAGE that such defect is not the fault of the Product itself.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PHONE GARAGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTAL LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS OR COMMERCIAL LOSS, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THAT THOSE LOSSES OR DAMAGES CAN BE DISCLAIMED BY LAW. PHONE GARAGE AND ITS SUPPLIERS ENTIRE LIABILITY UNDER ANY PROVISION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE HARDWARE.
PHONE GARAGE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOST OR UNRETRIVABLE DATA ON ANY CUSTOMERS DEVICE DUE TO DAMAGE OF DEFECT.
FOR COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS: OTHER THAN THE LIMITED WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PHONE GARAGE DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER IMPLIED OR EXPRESS WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND/OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
PRICES ON REPAIRS :
Prices are subject to change. Promotional items state the price and duration and such prices only apply at the time of the promotion. No Fix, No Fee Policy – This does not cover all repairs, such as water damage and diagnostic.
WARRANTY FOR REPAIRS :
All repairs (with the exception of software related and water damaged devices) come with a 3 month warranty. This excludes faults relating to physical or accidental damage or if the device is opened whilst in your possession. If the nature of the repair falls outside the terms of your warranty or guarantee, then you may incur a charge for the repair.
If you take your device to a third party after it has been repaired by PHONE GARAGE this will void the warranty on your device. This includes both repaired and purchased devices. All software related repairs will not be covered by our warranty.
The warranty only covers the original repair. For example, if you pay for a screen repair and the screen becomes faulty, you will be covered with a 3mth warranty. If any additional faults occur that are not related to the original repair this will not be covered under warranty and will need to be paid for.
The warranty for refurbished phones and tablets sold by PHONE GARAGE differs depending on the device and only covers manufacturing defects. If the fault is not related to this or happens outside of the warranty period, an extra cost may occur. It does not cover physical or accidental damage. With all refurbished devices sold by PHONE GARAGE , the battery will only be covered by a 3-month warranty. If you purchase a refurbished mobile device from PHONE GARAGE and you accidentally damage the device this will void all warranty. If after this you purchase a repair from PHONE GARAGE , if applicable you will be covered under a new repair warranty. If the device is damaged it shall not be covered under warranty. If you pay to have it repaired it will still not be covered by warranty due to any future faults that may occur. All warranty claims have to be reported within the warranty period and returned to our premises within one week from this date. If the device you return has been reset we will need the iCloud / Google account information to be able to test the device, without this account information we will not provide a warranty. Warranty on all accessories sold by PHONE GARAGE is 30 days.
LIABILITY:
If your device is damaged beyond economical repair through our negligence or wilful misconduct, our liability will be limited to the cost of providing a replacement with a product that is the same or similar to your device. You have sole responsibility for any data stored on your device and we accept no liability for loss or corruption of such data howsoever caused. It is your responsibility to keep a record of any such data.
When bringing in a damaged device, our technicians will probably need to open up the device to either diagnose or repair it, this comes with an element of risk and may result in some minor damages to your device. We do everything possible to ensure this doesn’t happen, however, if it does happen and the damages are significant we will offer a replacement or repair.
We will not be responsible for any damage or fault caused by a previous repair.
When bringing in your mobile phone or tablet device for screen repair or home button repair, PHONE GARAGE will not be held responsible if the Touch ID feature does not work after the repair is carried out.
REPAIR PROCESS & DELAYS:
We aim to repair your device within 24 hours of receiving it. This is just an aim, this is not a promise, as every repair varies in time and difficulty. Although 99% of all repairs get done on the same day, sometimes we encounter further issues that slow the repair down.
If for any reason your repair will take longer, you will be notified of the reason and the estimated completion date.
If we need to order in new parts, the repair process may be delayed. We will keep you updated throughout the whole process.
Please be aware diagnostics may take longer than usual repairs as our trained technicians take the time to look at every element of the device and check for faulty parts. Please be advised we cannot guarantee your device will be repaired after we diagnose the fault. Liquid Damage repairs can take up to 7 days. Any Motherboard related repairs can take up to 7 days. Any Software related repairs can take up to 7 days. Orders which have multiple repairs or require additional repairs may take longer.
Any time estimate for completion of the repair service, which may be given to you, is an estimate only and does not form any obligation under the terms of this agreement. On a few iPad screen repairs occasionally fine grid lines may appear, the screen will work without any problems just light grid lines may seem apparent which will not affect the performance of the screen at all. We will be unable to refund or replace the screen based on this factor.
PHONE GARAGE is not responsible for events that are out of PHONE GARAGE reasonable control which leads to failures to complete a service, whether delayed or incomplete. PHONE GARAGE will not be held liable under these circumstances.
ADDITIONAL REPAIRS & FAULTS :
When you bring your mobile device into us for a repair, it is rigorously tested by a number of different testers and departments, sometimes additional faults are found. If we find an additional fault with your mobile device we will notify you of the additional repair payment. It is your decision if you choose to proceed or not. If you choose to go ahead with the repair, your mobile device will be passed back to our technicians to continue work, if you choose to decline, we will stop work and give the mobile device back as it is. If you have any queries about the additional repairs, please do not hesitate to ask us.
WATERPROOF REPAIRS DEVICE:
Mobile devices that are sold as being waterproof are originally sealed in the manufacturer’s factory with special machines and special liquid proof gaskets. When we carry out a repair on a waterproof device that involves opening and closing the device we cannot guarantee that your device will be 100% waterproof after the repair process has been completed. We replace all gaskets required but only the manufacturers of the device have access to the specialised equipment required. However, we always use grade A parts and use the best possible techniques.
YOUR DATA ON DEVICE:
Please ensure your data is wiped or backed up via your operating system before bringing your device to us. Our repairs are carried out in a professional manner but we cannot guarantee the data will be on the mobile device when it is given back to you. We do not offer a data recovery service. We may need to update your iOS to ensure the repair is carried out correctly.
By bringing your mobile device to PHONE GARAGE , you agree to release us from all claims, damages or losses with respect to the mobile device, any data stored there in or on any media used in conjunction with the mobile device (This could be in the form of personal details, SMS, photos, games, songs or other data). We accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of such data and it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that such data is removed from the mobile device before bringing the device to PHONE GARAGE.
UNLOCKING SERVICES :
Occasionally an unlock shows as “Unavailable” after processing has been attempted. This means the device cannot be unlocked at the current time and further investigation is required. We offer refunds for unlocks showing this status. Otherwise, unlocking services are non-refundable. WE PROVIDE UNLOCK SERVICE . WE DO NOT PROVIDE ANY KIND OF
UNBLOCKING SERVICE.
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION :
If the repair service involves transferring information or installing software, you agree that any PHONE GARAGE team member has the need to copy the required information and agree to the terms of the software being installed in order to complete the agreed service contract. You hereby authorize PHONE GARAGE to transfer information and install the required software and accept such terms on your behalf in performing the service.
BLACK LISTED / BLOCKED DEVICES:
At PHONE GARAGE we will not repair any device that has been bricked, blocked or jail-broken. The device will be given back to the customer. If the device has no IMEI number then we will not repair the device. This is for security and warranty purposes, the device will be given back to the customer.
ACCESSORIES:
If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase of an accessory, please return the item in its packaging with the sales receipt within 15 days of purchase (for purchases made online at PHONEGARAGE.CO.UK, the 15 days begins upon the first delivery attempt). The accessory must be in the same condition in which it was purchased. For online sales product must be returned to a PHONE GARAGE store or shipped back to PHONEGARAGE.CO.UK at purchaser’s expense.
GOODS RETURNS:
We will attempt a re-repair on your mobile device twice after the initial repair. If after this, the mobile device is still faulty we will issue a refund. We will need to see the mobile device and make sure its faulty prior to issuing a refund. This does not include diagnostic and water damage related repairs. This does not relate to refurbished mobile devices sold by PHONE GARAGE
UNCLAIMED GOODS : It is a condition of PHONE GARAGE that any product repaired is subject to the disposal of uncollected goods legislation. This legislation allows PHONE GARAGE the right of sale exercisable in certain circumstances. If your product remains unclaimed, PHONE GARAGE reserves the right under law to dispose of that product in whichever way PHONE GARAGE deems fit. This includes the sale of your device with no financial compensation to the original owner.
When refunding all payments made to us, they will be repaid to the original origin of the funds due to security reasons.
Reference to “us”, “we” and “our” refer to PHONE GARAGE and references to “you” and “your” are references to you, the person requiring our service.
PRIVACY:
PHONE GARAGE is committed to the privacy of our customers and website visitors. We will not disclose information to third parties except where it is part of providing a service to you (eg. arranging courier services or where required by law). We will not sell your name, address, email address, credit card information or any other personal details to any third party without your permission. If you have purchased a Repair or Accessory from us we may occasionally contact you via email to keep you updated and extend special offers to you. You have the option to unsubscribe from these emails at any time. Any payment information is kept safe by using SSL software, which encrypts your sensitive information.
